What a wonderful world!

This Christmas village is made by my mother. Every year over the past decade she bought Christmas decorations in the sale and at the moment she has such an extensive collection that she can make a whole village out of it. For some reason this village makes me happy. All the people in this village are happy and there is no sign of trouble or sadness to be found; everything is just perfect. Of course we don't have a perfect world but looking at people who are tremendously happy, makes me happy inside too.

Music

Another thing in life I just can't miss is music. I enjoy listening to music, singing, playing the piano and even composing music. Music is also a way of expressing your feelings and your thoughts about things in life. Furthermore, listening to particular songs related to your mood, can get you out of that mood (for instance when your sad you can become happy) or enhence your feelings (for instance make you happier than you already were). And what I love about music as well, is that every where in the world, also in third-world-countries, people make music even if they can't afford ordinary instruments. They make instruments out of anything they do have. I just think that is such a beautiful thing. Moreover, music connects people and I can't imagine someone hating music :(

This picture is so beautiful in its deeper meaning. At first, you’ll probably think: Why did you photograph an empty blackboard? Therefore, I’ll explain it to you.  The reason why there’s no text on the blackboard is to show that your life is unwritten. There is no book or text which tells your life and no one has written your life for you. Think about all the things you’ve always wanted to do. You have the opportunity so why shouldn’t you do it? You can decide what you want to do at which moment (except for school, that is written for you L). The line: ‘Life is unwritten’ inspires me a lot as it shows me each time that I can still become and do anything I want and that you can follow your dreams since no one can stop you from doing it.

December 10th

This text is an extract from the novel The Collector. I found it quite inspiring because it is exactly the truth. The extract is about how money changes people’s views of life. ‘Poverty forces them to have good qualities and pride in other things’ and ‘The most beautiful things are quite independent of money’ are my favourite lines. These lines show that money does not necessarily mean you’re happy. When you are poor, you need to have pride in other things like friends and family and you have more care for unimportant things. The other line implies that the most beautiful things in your life will not be your mansion or your brand new car but your family and friends as they have nothing to do with money. Everything I write at the moment is contradicting to what I wrote earlier: I want to be a millionaire. However, I think people should realize more that money it not everything. You need it in life as our society is made up of money but we should not forget that years and years and years ago people had no money at all. The word ‘money’ did not even exist!

December 9th

Today’s picture is a map of the world. What I want to emphasize with this photo is that we are the world! We, all human beings (and animals and nature), create the world. Of course I know that we did not really ‘made’ it but everything we do has consequences for our world and it also alters the world in maybe not the right direction. I’m not a person who’s concerned about global warming and deforestation although I do think we should sometimes stand still by the fact that we might damage and harm the world in some way. I posted this world map to ask you to think about what you want to change in the world in order to improve it.  

December 8th

This picture is a photo of a banana keeper. And no, it does not really inspire me but I just think it is so funny. I just have to laugh every time I see it because it is so silly but still a great invention. I always hate it when I have a banana in my bag and when I want to eat it, I see all brown and black spots and I know my banana is splashed. That’s why it’s smart to but your banana in a banana keeper but such a banana keeper is simply weird. Another weird thing is that I’m writing over a 100 words about a silly banana keeper. Can you imagine that??????

December 7th

Today I was at the party of Florette (on the left). She organized a cocktail party! I had a great evening even though I was tremendously tired. We also watched a movie called Easy A. The movie wasn’t only enjoyable, you could also learn a lot from it. I think I learned 5 new words of, I don’t know how you call such a person in a polite way, but it is someone who sleeps with many different guys…. So it was very informative!

Florette also has her own blog in which she has a 30 day picture challenge. Today she needed to take a picture of a sophisticated face and I’m in it. Therefore, I chose to post this picture on my blog as well J

December 6th

Early this morning (around 2 a.m.) it was snowing again! You might be wondering: How does she know it is snowing at 2 a.m.? Well, I was awake J I really, really couldn’t sleep but that didn’t matter because the snow changed my mood right away: D

When I was walking through the snow on my way to school, I realized that I was the first one who walked there.  This experience showed me a new message: sometimes you should take a new way in life. Not all paths that you’re taking are in you benefit and though it’s hard to take a new path, it might be necessary to discover yourself. Take new changes and challenge yourself to keep improving.

Due to the loss of my mother’s friend, I will not post a new story. Nevertheless, I do have a message: Enjoy life as much as you can because you never know when it will end.

       

December 4th

I have some great news!  I auditioned for a new musical from FanWork and today I got a phone call in which I was told that I got through the next round! Yeah Happy me.  I participated already with another musical this year and I had a great time and I learned a lot and therefore, I auditioned again. What I learned most was that you should have faith in yourself. Everyone (most people) is insecure about themselves sometimes, but this may not be hold you back from achieving amazing success.  Just be yourself and have faith in yourself <3

My message with this picture is also that you must know that there is a whole world waiting for you to embrace it with open arms!

December 3rd Snow!

Did you ever realize how the weather can alter your mood? Today it snowed for the first time this winter. Therefore, I was on top of the worlds! Snow makes me happy even though it is cold and dangerous when you're on a bike. This morning I cycled to the train station when it was snowing, and my black boots turned white, my brown jacket turned white and even my hair was white :o That is probably the disadvantage of snow and when I got into the train, all the snow melted and everything got wet instead of white. Nevertheless, I hope it will snow for the upcoming days!

December 2nd

It is already the second day of my challenge :) Today I want to underscore the fact that sometimes you don’t have to be extensively big or stand out in the crowd. You know, sometimes less is more. Little and tiny things in life can catch your attention even more than immense and overwhelming tings.  Therefore I took a photo of by ‘baby collection’. This collection consists of all kinds of objects in baby-size. I have a baby bottle of diet coke, a baby ice-watch and baby sneakers. I must admit that I like them more than those of the large-size.

A similar situation is seen with people. Sometimes you want to be that popular chick of the school because everyone will like you and admire you. However, you must realize that the shy, withdrawn girl has the same shiny heart and can be of more significance to you than you had ever thought before.  

Start December 1st

The first thing which inspires me a lot and give me a great time are: FRIENDS! Today I was at a party of my dear friend Romy. As usual we laughed our asses off: p when I’m with friends, I feel extremely happy because we’re always having a good time. I think friends are important to one’s life since they make you smile in good and in bad times. When I wouldn’t have any friends, I would feel like I’m in prison where I can’t talk to anyone. For me, a friend is someone who knows you as you are, understands where you’ve been, accepts who you’ve become, and still, gently invites you to grow <3 I’m glad that I have such friends and I hope I can mean the same thing to you guys!
